La Mouline on parle Français
last update |
Guests of Bourg de Mat can join the family for the evening dinner. We serve a three course menu including regional wine. As much as possible we use products from our own vegetable garden or from regular suppliers from the surrounding area. The livestock-farming in the south west of France is much less intensive than for instance in the UK or Netherlands. The animals spend a large part of the year outside. The summer months they are transferred to the mountain pastures where they enjoy clean air and fields full of wild herbs. This of course has a favourable influence on the well-being of the animals and last but not least on the taste of the meat. On demand we can provide vegetarian menus. The three course menu, including aperitif, wine and coffee costs € 20,- each. Reservation is essential.

What exactly is a 'chambre en table d'hotes'?
To put it simply: it is the French version of a "bed and breakfast". You are accommodated in a private home. The emphasis is on the cosy personal touch. Over breakfast the hosts inform the guests about sightseeing in the region, which they know better than anyone. A 'table d'hotes' offers the possibility to join the family for the evening dinner. The 'table d'hotes' is not a restaurant, but only meant as a service to the guests that stay in the house. The hosts decide what's on the menu, but they do take special wishes into consideration. The table d'hotes is a very good way to get to know regional specialties, which we serve alongside other traditional French dishes. Most of the products are from our own vegetable garden, or bought at the local markets. The price includes aperitif, wine and coffee. |
